*Our focus for the weekend was “Anakrino” which is the Greek word for think, examine, discern, judge, decide. Each of our conversations focused on thinking and understanding why we are about to do whatever it is we’re going to do.
*The teachings focused on thinking about: the authority of God (who holds sway in your life and pushes you?), giving and receiving grace (grace is complete when it’s received and then given away) and throwing rocks (will we use our rocks to stone others or will we lie across the rock, Jesus, and entrust ourselves to him?).
*Each youth staff led a break out session each day. The youth were able to pick from three every half hour. Some of the topics included: Think: Purity, Think: Discipleship, Think: Forgiveness, Think: Faith, Think: Traditions and more.
*One of the most favorite moments came when the youth we’re giving 15 minutes to do whatever they wanted during our “Together time”. They choose to pray for one another and share who they are and what has impacted them this weekend.
*Another favorite time was when we moved around the room praying for one another and encouraging each other.
*Saturday night: Matt, Josh and Jacob played some jams that we all knew (non worship songs) and we spent about an hour singing and rocking the house!
*Cabin time is always fun. Each group has some stories about the craziness that took place.
*Over all, it was a spectacular weekend with a lot of great discussion and some great decisions made. Many chose to let go of control and solutions and give themselves over to God’s leading. Others chose to wake up to the reality that they belong and need to stop finding ways to hide from us and from God.
*The weather treated us well … the youth we’re awesome and the leaders are the best team in the world!! Serious!
*Ok, now for some pics and vids: This first vid is Seth teaching the group how to truly sing the song “I am Free”:
*Now, not everyone does it the same way. Tim had his own way of worshipping:
And now for some pics:

*Until next year ...
